"Marketing Before Strategy is Like Butter Before Bread." -Andrew Sokol

I now dedicate myself to bringing these previously unavailable principles to small
and mid-size business owners, helping them position their own companies for long term,
massive growth. -Andrew Sokol
During my 25 years of business and marketing consulting in America, Europe
and Asia, I've observed that the primary reason businesses large and small
do not enjoy the growth they seek is the lack of a competitive
brand strategy.
Unfortunately, most companies create product centered marketing plans
and implement them before they've developed a competitive
brand strategy. This is a problem I call "Backward Marketing."
Fortune 500 companies understand that before implementing any aspect of
their business, they must first develop a core brand strategy based on the
principles of strategic competitive positioning. Once developed, all other
aspects of their business are guided and informed by that core stratgegy
(see diagram right).
